South African surfer Chris Bertish became the first man to paddleboard his way across the Atlantic Ocean, from Morocco to Antigua. He covered 4,050 miles and it took him 93 days to accomplish his journey. Along the way he endured stormy weather and areas of shark-infested waters and traveled about 40 miles daily, all while standing on a paddleboard. Paddleboarding has become a popular full-body workout in recent years and can burn hundreds of calories in one hour.
