The young often hit the gym and push themselves to look better, but the elderly who seek activity are often simply attempting to maintain the ability to engage in life without problems. Certain exercises and other activities are more healthy than others. Chief among them is dancing, which many don’t consider an exercise. But dancing regularly boosts coordination and balance, and can also improve mental function. Medical researchers in Germany discovered seniors who dance regularly had better memory function and balance than those who didn’t.
