One problem facing men between the ages of 30 to 65 is the lack of close, meaningful male friendships. A significant portion of men reported that they had no friends outside of family members. In cases where they did have friends, they often reported that they were not getting what they had hoped for from these friendships. So what are some options men should consider to make new friends. Some of the more interesting crowd-sourced ideas were joining gaming groups that meet repetitiously (board games, video games, card games, ping-pong), get a dog – nothing promotes meeting new people like walking a cute pooch, or maybe volunteer and help others while meeting new potential friends. The bottom line came down to getting involved with the communities that surround the hobbies and activities that appeal to you. Shared interests surpass a major hurdle to making new friends.
