A process known as dehydration is used by people in both the fitness world and in Hollywood as a way to showcase muscles. The process involves drinking large quantities of water for more than a week. Roughly 30 hours before filming or a body building show, etc. people that dehydrate will stop drinking water and only eat small amounts of food to help the muscles show more definition. This process is dangerous as it can be taxing on the kidneys.
