The Benefits of Middle-Age Fitness

Average lifespan is increasing at the same time that people are suffering more chronic illness. People are living longer, but with more diseases. A recent study has found that starting a fitness regime in middle age can improve health in old age. Fitness at middle age was compared to Medicare records for over 18,000 participants. The more fit a person was in middle age, the more they delayed chronic illness and lived better lives in old age.
