If you are a hardcore gym-goer, you have probably hit the point where training doesn’t seem to do anything for you anymore. Your body is so used to the weightlifting and cardio that it doesn’t get as many benefits from the continuous training as it used to. The answer to this is strategic deconditioning. Every 6-8 weeks, you should be taking 12-14 days off completely from training to allow your body to be resensitized to conditioning. This allows you to continue to get the benefits and not hit that wall.
