Research have shown that black men have higher chances of developing prostate cancer and dying from it as well. For this reason, it is being suggested that black men be screened earlier than the average age of 50. In the United States alone, black men have a 60% higher chance of developing prostate cancer than their white counterparts. Even more serious is the fact that the death rate in black men who develop prostate cancer in the United States is two times that of their white counterparts.
