Scientists Discover Secret to Reversing Alzheimer’s

University of Connecticut has conducted a research study involving Alzheimer’s disease and whether or not exercise can help delay or even prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. The scientists reviewed over 900 Alzheimer’s studies that involved thousands of people. There was some debate whether or not there was any additional benefit from aerobic exercise over strength training exercises; the results being that aerobic exercise does indeed provide more of a positive outcome, although it the scientists aren’t sure why. Studies also show that aerobic exercise isn’t just good for the brain, it also provides positive benefits for heart health, blood pressure, weight and blood sugar levels.

Key Takeaways:

  • Engage in aerobic exercise to help with Alzheimer’s disease reversal.
  • Train in High-intensity interval training exercises for the most benefits.
  • Large study shows a specific activity can help to reverse Alzheimer’s disease.

“The review showed that exercise definitely helps Alzheimer’s patients. And aerobic workouts were shown to be far more beneficial than strength training.”
