Running may add years to your life, according to an article in Progress in Cardiovascular Disease. Running is proven to lower hypertension, improve your insulin resistance, and cardio-respiratory fitness. Running can give you a 3.2 year life expectancy over non runners. After three years, the data does not show longer life benefits. Running on an average of two weeks over forty years would add up to a time of around six months, 4,000 hours compared to non runners.
