Athletes need proper post-game recovery and nourishment. Bodies absorb carbohydrates and protein to refuel themselves to repair lean muscle. Rehydrating is equally important so it’s important to drink plenty of water. For athletes eating right after the game, burritos and sandwiches make good meal options. If you wait 3-4 hours after the game, go with lighter fare, like lean meat and rice.
