Prostate cancer tests are now OK with US panel, with caveats

The widely used PSA test used for detecting prostate cancer is not always accurate. This inaccuracy caused some alarm to those who formerly opposed the test. Another problem with this testing is that the PSA is currently the only test used to provide a look at any abnormalities or associated risk for prostate cancer. A U.S. panel has changed it’s view on using the test for early detection after the announcement was made and a celebrity endorsed the testing.
