Michael Kinsley’s ‘Old Age: A Beginner’s Guide’

Michael Kinsley, born to the baby boomer generation, explores the topic of what it means to age. Kinsley was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in his forties and the diagnosis is evident in his summation of growing old. He explores the notion that baby boomers allow taxation of their retirement benefits in an act of selflessness to end the nation’s debt. The book contains essays previously published in the New Yorker and the Atlantic. Kinsley has written a humorous book on aging while keeping a close eye on whether Parkinson’s disease has caused intellectual harm.
