Male-Type Depression: The Second Hidden Cause of Mid-Life Marriage Meltdown

Men get depressed just as women do but it isn’t talked about as much because men are conditioned to be stronger. They’re supposed to be the providers according to tradition and are supposed to hide emotion and weakness. This is bad for men and for their personal relationships. This depression is bad for marriages and is causing breakups in middle age. This would be lessened if this depression were diagnosed and treated properly instead of being stigmatized.
