Staying active as a middle-aged adult, through exercise or even just daily life activities such as cleaning, may reduce inflammation to a person’s body. This matters because as a person experience long-term inflammation, the risk of heart troubles increases. A study was conducted in Britain which followed adults who were middle-aged for over a decade. About half of the participants initially met recommended levels for physical activity. Even those who didn’t start out being as active showed signs of improvement when they increased their activity level.
