Musculoskeletal injuries can commonly be caused by bad postural habits. Bad posture dictates how your body functions and if your posture is poor, the body’s functionality is compromised. Something as simple as carrying a bag back and forth to work can lead to stiffness and pain. To avoid this, support your body by engaging your lats, abs, and glutes to protect your joints and spine. Also, switch sides that you carry the bag on frequently, carry yourself with an upright posture, keep your shoulder blades down, and don’t carry a load that is unmanageable.
