Get fitter, even if you hate exercise – Silversurfers

Get fitter, even if you hate exercise – Silversurfers

Most of us hate to work out, but there are better ways to go about it that can be more enjoyable than typical grueling exercises. Dancing, whether you are just doing ballet stretches or doing zumba, is a great way to get in shape. Find fun places to walk. If you are near a city, walking while window shopping can be a fun way to distract yourself from the exercise you are getting. If you live in the country, find a nice natural area or hiking trail. Stationary machines, like treadmills and bikes, are also very effective and easy to be distracted from while you work out. You can read a book or watch tv while you use them. Find a sport that you enjoy to play. Not only are sports great for exercise, but they are a good way to socialize and keep things from getting boring. Get creative while you are doing other things. You can do jumping jacks or leg lifts while you are waiting for water to boil or using the microwave. Try getting inspired by signing up for a charity walk or run.

Key Takeaways:

  • Some people don’t like to exercise at the gym so they don’t exercise at all.
  • You can get healthy without doing exercise that you hate.
  • You might find that you like dancing, trying a new sport or participating in a charity run.

“The great thing about installing a stationary bike or running machine in your home is the fact that you can exercise while doing something else entirely.”
