From Unfit to CrossFit: Being an Athlete in My 50’s – Renaissance Periodization

Shellie Edington is a national CrossFit champion at age 51, but only a few years ago she was an out-of-shape mom who couldn’t even do a single push-up. At 46, she took up CrossFit and after only five months in the gym, she began competing. CrossFit has helped her bond with her grown children, excel at her day job of coaching children’s gymnastics, and given her a ripped, muscular body. Shellie is convinced age is no barrier to CrossFit.
