Fitness: Is swimming the most age-friendly sport of them all?

Master swimmer and middle aged swimmers spend several hours in a pool on a weekly basis training and even working to improve their speed. A study out of Portugal has discovered several factors related to swimming that will decrease speed in aging. Technical efficiency and creating aerobic and anaerobic movements can help master swimmers fight the decline of performance that comes with aging while allowing them to continue benefiting from the exercise.
