6 Memory Problems That Are Completely Normal

As we age, memory problems are completely normal and are not always a sign of Alzheimer’s or dementia. Certain memory glitches happen to everyone and shouldn’t cause concern unless they become a daily problem. For instance, absentmindedness such as forgetting where you put your pen is not reflective of a more serious problem. Mis-attribution, when people add on details to a story to embellish the specifics, is also normal. Transience is very common and happens when we forget things such as names and places. This happens to most of us simply because the brain can only hold so many details! Should you be concerned about memory problems, don’t panic and consult with your doctor before jumping to conclusions.
