6 Disjointed Characteristics of Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis

The health section of an online magazine has a feature on arthritis. The writer divides this disease into two types – osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The causes of each are different. Osteoarthritis develops due to joint wear and tear, while rheumatoid arthritis is caused by a malfunction in the body’s immune system. The first form is more localized and develops over time, while the second form can attack suddenly and can be felt all over the body. Treatments for both conditions are different.
