4 Ways to Handle Your Fitness Setbacks (and Keep Moving Forward)

Setbacks in fitness and training goals are commonplace for all. However, it does not mean failure. One must overcome the setbacks so they do not stop your overall fitness goals. There are four ways to overcome setbacks: acknowledge and accept the setback, step back and reflect, stay in the present moment, and look at the silver lining. Ultimately, recognize the positives and focus on the opportunities ahead of you. Even if the weight isn’t coming off as quickly as you would like, recognize where you are compared to where you were three months ago. You should focus on the progress you’ve made and it will help you overcome the setbacks.
